Project Description

Genomes of fungal species encode catalogs of genes, enzymes, and pathways important for solving many energy and environment problems. In collaboration with research groups around the world, we sequenced, assembled, and annotated over 1000 fungal genomes, and integrated multi-omics data with analytical tools in the fungal genome portal MycoCosm (http://mycocosm.jgi.doe.gov). Analysis of these Big Data requires the development of new approaches for computational analysis, automation of pipelines, and curation of biological data.
